We Can Still Celebrate While Social Distancing

You may be stuck at home, but that does not mean you can’t still celebrate all those special occasions that may have been canceled or postponed. Whether it’s a birthday party, baby shower, wedding, or graduation, you can still celebrate with your loved ones indoors or out. Celebrations are one of the best ways to gather your friends and family for desserts, cocktails, and whimsical décor. However, this year will be a bit different. The new normal of social distancing has forced us to become creative when it comes to celebrating. While you may not be able to throw the perfectly planned party you desire, there’s no reason to skip over the festivities altogether.

If you or someone you love has a birthday, baby shower, or any other special occasion coming up, a virtual party could be a great option. You can plan the party from home and send out greeting cards, invitations, or special gifts to make your loved one feel special.

Here are a few ways to celebrate during quarantine:

  • Send a Greeting Card – One of the simplest ways to show you care is by sending a personalized card. There are plenty of greeting card designs that are sure to fit your needs. From thank you notes to birthday cards and even wedding cards, there’s an option for every occasion. The best part is no contact is required!
  • Host a virtual Party – There are plenty of virtual options for setting up a party with all your friends and family. Video quality on most apps is pretty good, so you’ll be able to see everyone’s face and celebrate together. You can even add some special touches to your virtual party by sending out décor to all your guests. Party décor or baby shower décor can make all the difference when hosting a virtual celebration. If all your guests have the same decorations, it can create the illusion that everyone is really there. You can even wrap gifts and send them over to the guest of honor before the party begins.
  • Send a Special Dessert or Present – A great way to celebrate your loved ones is by sending over a special dessert, bottle of champagne, or gift with a personalized note. This simple sweet gesture is the perfect way to show your loved ones you care, even in quarantine.
  • Drive-by Their House – Just because we’re social distancing doesn’t mean you can’t surprise your friends or family at their house. Take a drive-by their house and tell them to look outside. Decorate your car with balloons, banners, and signs commemorating the special event.

Social distancing may be taking a toll on everyone both mentally and physically, but that doesn’t mean that we should stop celebrating the special occasions that bring us joy.
