Sip, Stroll & Grow—
How to Celebrate the Start of Spring

The birds are chirping, the sun is shining, and the world is finally waking up from its winter nap—spring is here! There’s no better way to celebrate than by stepping outside, soaking up the fresh air, and making joyful memories with the people you love. Here are three simple (and fun!) ways to embrace the season:

1. Sip & Savor: Outdoor Brunch or Happy Hour

Spring is the perfect excuse to swap your usual indoor meetup spot for a breezy outdoor brunch or happy hour locale. Something that I love about this season is how everyone starts to break out of their cocoon. Gather your friends or coworkers at a local café or rooftop bar, sip on something refreshing, and toast to new beginnings. Bonus points if you order something fruity, floral and colorful—it’s the season of fresh flavors and flowers, after all. Now let the people-watching begin!

2. Stroll & Soak It In: A Walk with Loved Ones

Sometimes, the best way to enjoy spring is simply by taking a walk. Depending on where you live in North America, you have probably been cooped up indoors away from the frigid temperatures. So whether it’s a morning coffee stroll through the neighborhood, a relaxing afternoon in your local park, or a weekend walking tour through your nearest Botanical Gardens, walking with friends or family gives you time to chat, make new plans, unwind, and appreciate nature’s magic. Keep an eye out for budding flowers, chirping birds, that perfect blue sky, and crisp cool air—spring’s little gifts!

3. Grow & Bloom: Start a Family Garden

There’s nothing more rewarding than getting your hands a little dirty and planting something new! Starting a flower or veggie garden is a fun way to connect with both nature and loved ones—whether you’re planting herbs with the kids or tending to roses with a grandparent. I still fondly remember digging up the soil and running around my parents garden every spring and summer. Coming home after school and running to the backyard to see if anything sprouted yet. Watching your garden grow (literally!) is a beautiful reminder that spring is all about fresh starts.

So, what’s your spring vibe—sipping, strolling, or growing? No matter how you celebrate, the key is to enjoy the season with the people who make your heart bloom
